Meditation
Meditation is a technique which involves using pranayama (breathwork) and concentrating the mind. We can practice meditation for many health benefits such as learning how to relax, reduce anxiety and stress.
Although it is a technique which goes back many thousands of years, it is still being practiced today. You learn to quieten the mind from distracting thoughts and focus on your inner awareness. Our mind is so busy at all times, jumping from one thought to another.
We learn to do this by choosing to focus on our breath, a sound, an image or chanting a mantra. Experimenting with each technique on a course for example, will help us find which method resonates with us the most and then practising with that technique so that we can experience an enhanced meditation.
Meditation is an experience in which you mind is absolutely calm and you learn to experience your True Self. Before meditation, we learn to concentrate (Dharana). Dharana leads us to our meditation experience and personal transformation.

- How to use pranayama techniques to settle the body and mind.
- How to focus the mind, enhancing concentration and your meditation experience.
- How our daily life can affect our meditation.
- Understanding how sattvic, rajasic and tamasic foods can affect meditation.
- Using mudras and mantras.
- Understanding the gunas.
The course includes plenty of time to practice during and in between sessions and you are invited to ask as many questions as you wish after the practice session. You are also invited to keep a journal, recording your meditation practice. This is personal to you only.
Courses are available in 4 week, 6 week and 10 week terms and the length of the course determines the depth of learning. The course is paid in full before commencement. Please note I have a 72 hour cancellation policy on my meditation courses. Cancellations withing the 72 hour window receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations before the 72 hour window receive a full refund. Refunds cannot be given once you have started your course but you may be given the option of joining another course, although this is not guaranteed.
